I really do have to work today, so my posting on the New York Times' coverage of the relief effort in Iraq will have to wait till later.
Meanwhile, though, I would like to make an appeal to my readers, such as they are, to help me figure out how to install a comments board so they can tell me what they think of me and my log.
And I have to say that "News Under Fire," by Nancy Franklin, in the current issue of the New Yorker, is a must-read for anyone who has been frustrated by TV coverage of the war. Mostly I've been telling friends who complain or feel manipulated to just turn it off and read instead. At least then you can choose what information you're absorbing.
